Mark D. Anderson, DDS, FAACA

Dr. Anderson graduated from the LSU School of Dentistry in 2000. Upon graduating dental school, Dr. Anderson began working as an associate dentist under Dr. Ronald Villars in New Orleans. He practiced dentistry in the CBD (central business district in downtown New Orleans) for 9 years and in August of 2009 opened up Mid-City Smiles Family Dentistry.

Over the years Dr. Anderson has completed many hours of continuing education with an emphasis on orthodontic dentistry, including Invisalign® certification. He is the leading Invisalign provider in the greater New Orleans area achieving Diamond status since 2021 , a distinction earned by less than 1% of all Invisalign providers worldwide.

Dr. Anderson is a Board Member and KOL (Key Opinion Leader) for the American Academy of Clear Aligners (AACA). He also received a Fellowship with the AACA in 2022. In addition to his accomplishments with Invisalign, Dr. Anderson is also a lifetime member of the Untied States Dental Institute, the oldest program in the industry for education of orthodontics for general dentists including traditional straight-wire braces and functional appliances.

Dr. Anderson has also received specialized training for the surgical placement of dental implants. Patients are able to receive complete dental implant care from start to finish at Mid-City Smiles including the use of digitally guided surgery. Sports Dentistry is another area Dr. Anderson has focused a lot of continuing education and training on. He has been a member of the Academy of Sports Dentistry since 2012. Dr. Anderson helps provide dental/trauma care for local athletes and currently serves as the official team dentist of the New Orleans Pelicans as well as Louisiana State University of New Orleans and Xavier University of Louisiana Athletics.

Dr. Anderson is fluent in Spanish. He is a member of both the Hispanic Dental Association and the Louisiana Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. He also periodically does a dental health radio show on the local Spanish radio channel. Since 2009, Dr. Anderson has been voted every year by his peers as one of New Orleans’ Top Dentists. His most recent profile appeared in the Top Dentists issue of New Orleans Magazine.

Dr. Anderson was born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana. He is a graduate of Benjamin Franklin High School and received his undergraduate Bachelor’s degree from LSU in Baton Rouge. His father is also a native New Orleanian (in fact, he was born and raised in the Mid-City area). His mother is a native of Havana, Cuba. He is married to Summer Anderson, a native of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He has 2 sons (Luke and Benjamin) and a daughter (Isabelle). He enjoys traveling, hiking, and playing/watching most sports especially Pelicans, Saints, and all LSU teams. Dr. Anderson is also a member of the Krewe of Endymion, Mardi Gras’ largest parade organization.

Margydali Jimenez, DDS

Dr. Margydali Jimenez is a native of The Dominican Republic. She hails from a family of dentists so she has been around the profession most of her life.

Dr. Jimenez graduated from la Universidad Iberoamericana (UNIBE) in Santo Domingo, DR in 2004. She participated in several volunteer missions providing free dental care to the underserved communities of the Dominican Republic. After two years working as a general dentist in private practice, Dr. Margie decided to further her dental education and was accepted to a residency program in Prosthodontics and Implants at la Universidad Nacional de Córdoba, UNC, in Argentina. She finished the residency in December of 2008 and returned to the Dominican Republic to work in her family’s practice. At this time she accepted a faculty position at UNIBE University in the Prosthodontics department.

Dr. Jimenez later moved to New York deciding to pursue a dental career in the USA. There she started working as a dental assistant for a general dentist and later for an oral surgeon. In 2022, the LSU School of Dentistry accepted her into their competitive and prestigious International program. Dr. Jimenez graduated from the LSU School of Dentistry in 2024 earning her DDS degree in the United States.

Dr. Jimenez has two sons, Christopher and Diego. In her free time she enjoys many activities with her children including playing most sports. Dr. Jimenez is a lover of art. She enjoys painting on canvas. She also loves to dance, travel and try new restaurants. Dr. Jimenez loves trying new things and sharing them with her family.
